About

I create human-centered design systems that simplify complexity, improve accessibility, and deliver measurable business impact through thoughtful user experiences.

My interdisciplinary background in architecture, exhibit design, environmental graphics, graphic design, and UI/UX has cultivated a deep understanding of how to craft engaging and meaningful user experiences. While architecture and exhibit design are about transient experiences in the physical realm, UI/UX is about navigating virtual visual experiences. In all of these designed environments, users are encouraged to navigate, pause, and interact. This convergence serves as a synthesis of spatial thinking and visual innovation. Through these disciplines, I’ve developed sophisticated insights into user behavior, enabling me to design experiences that are both functionally successful and creatively compelling.

I take great care in understanding the audience and business goals behind every project, and I enjoy collaborating with stakeholders and across teams. As a thoughtful communicator, I welcome constructive feedback and view it as an integral part of the design process. My strong design intuition and efficient workflow allow me to produce high-quality work, while my background in exhibits and architecture has honed my understanding of user psychology. I focus on creating elegant, simple solutions to complex problems, with a commitment to excellence.

In my most recent role, I served as a User Experience Designer for FM, a global real estate company, where I contributed to the creation of a new branded client portal. I also led a heuristics evaluation of our User Experience team’s rebranding effort, providing valuable insights to further streamline and enhance the platform’s UI and UX. This took the form of responsive vision pages and a style guide for the development team, and for the purpose of presenting to stakeholders to demonstrate viability.

Previously, I designed a responsive, customizable platform for remote conferences at OpenExchange, and served as the Graphic Designer for Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland, California. I also served as the San Francisco Graphic Designer for Woods Bagot, an international architecture firm. In these roles, I’ve consistently delivered measurable results and often had the responsibility of being the sole designer.

Before transitioning to graphic design, I worked as a Junior Architect specializing in residential architecture and interior architecture. I hold a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, which provided me with a strong foundation in both architecture and fine arts. My diverse professional experience in the built and digital realms allows me to approach design with a holistic view. I find both architectural and graphic design deeply fulfilling, each offering unique opportunities to inspire exploration and engagement.

To further my expertise, I have pursued continuing education in graphic design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and the University of California, Berkeley. Throughout my career, I have embraced diverse opportunities, including internships and contract positions in San Francisco, which have broadened my understanding of the design field. I also enjoy pursuing personal design projects, some of which can be viewed here on my website, such as Spotify Redesign, Roast Coffee, and Astro Photo.

Currently based in the northeast, I have successfully worked remotely, leveraging excellent communication to stay well-integrated with national and global teams. Outside of design, I enjoy early morning walks in beautiful nature, and exploring new flavors in the kitchen. You can view my personal artwork in the Coffee Break section of my portfolio.

Thank you for taking the time to explore my work!
