Sketches
Sketches have an appealing quality of unfinishedness and incompleteness that fascinates me. By my definition, a good sketch acts as a set of instructions. Whether in indicating intentions for a building’s facade, for the purpose of generating a painting later on, or simply capturing the essence of an object or person, I love how a simple gestural line can speak volumes.
