Chabot Summer Camp

Chabot Space & Science Center hosts an annual summer camp for youth, which is a draw for aspiring astronauts, astronomers and creatives from grades 1 through 6.

I create the graphics for the camp, which entails promotional postcards, ads, web banners, camp t-shirts, planetarium slides, and more. In past years the camp has lacked a unifying logo to brand the camp over the years and create recognizability. In 2019, I created a unifying rocket graphic, which every year moving forward can be easily updated by switching out the color palette and photos.

Summer Camp 2020

For the Summer Camp 2020 color palette I decided to tie in more feminine colors. We’d had somewhat more boys in attendance for Summer Camp 2019, and Chabot strives to encourage young women to feel they are welcome in STEM activities (science, technology, engineering, math).
